According to reports in the UK, West Ham are considering making a £10 million bid for Liverpool player Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The 28-year-old’s contract at Anfield expires in less than a year, and the Reds are unlikely to stop the former Arsenal player from leaving the club in order to play first-team football.
Unsurprisingly, supporters on Twitter are strongly in favor of selling him if the Hammers do make a formal bid, which is understandable given that he is not a regular starter:
Since Oxlade-Chamberlain is now out with a hamstring injury, it is unlikely that any team will make an offer at this stage.
Nearer to the end of the transfer window, depending on how long it takes the midfielder to recover, a sale could be on the cards, but Liverpool may want to have a replacement lined up ahead of time. We’ll see if Sporting Lisbon’s Matheus Nunes, is involved after being heavily linked in the Portuguese media.
