Arsenal are apparently close to signing Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, according to reports in the media today.
Since bursting onto the scene just a few seasons ago, Haaland has been linked with the top teams – but he has really matured into a lethal attacker at Borussia Dortmund.
Barcelona were rumored to be interested in signing the player, but have since dropped out of the race due to some financial difficulties, leaving Man City with no competition to make their move.
Pep Guardiola has one of the strongest squads in the league, but after watching his team fall to defeat in the Champions League and FA Cup, transfer moves were made which puts Haaland in front of their attack next season.
Now that Man City has confirmed the signing of Erling Haaland, Jesus may be permitted to leave the Etihad in order to avoid losing him on a free transfer when his contract expires in 2023.
Brazilian writer Andre Hernan, commenting on the proposed deal, reported that talks are at an advanced stage, with negotiations “really ongoing.”
“There’s this news of Gabriel Jesus leaving City to join Arsenal,” he said on the BTS show on YouTube channel Camisa 21.
“It’s real; (talks) are actually taking place.” He’s a fantastic player, in my opinion.
“In terms of tactics, I believe he’s a highly intelligent player who was hard thrashed in the cup.”
“Guardiola’s favorite player isn’t just any player.”
“Perhaps he becomes the protagonist at Arsenal,” he added. He comes from a different point.”

If Arsenal can secure Gabriel Jesus signature for £40 million, then that would be a fantastic deal for the club.
