Although some teams have approached Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, no formal negotiations have taken place as of yet, and manager Jurgen Klopp is determined to avoid any further player sales this summer.
Darwin Nunez was the biggest name to join the club during this transfer window, but there were also some notable exits from the Reds’ roster.
It may be dangerous to allow other players to depart Anfield after Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino, Divock Origi, and Neco Williams had already left.
Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn’t been a regular for Klopp’s side for some time, but it appears that some other clubs are interested in signing him this summer.
In his CaughtOffside blog for Substack, Fabrizio Romano said, “Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain could be one to watch: he has been approached, but there are no official bids on the Liverpool table yet.”
As far as Jurgen Klopp is concerned, he doesn’t want any more departures this summer.
LFC fans will surely be hoping the rest of this squad can stay together, with a player like Oxlade-Chamberlain still looking potentially like a useful backup option to have around.
It would be fascinating to see if the former Arsenal player is content to continue in his current position at Liverpool because he would no doubt have a regular start for a number of other Premier League teams.
