Prior to the upcoming season, Curtis Jones, an academy graduate, has the full support of Liverpool and their manager Jurgen Klopp.
The 21-year-old’s potential according to Goal, is one of the reasons Liverpool has not made a hasty midfield signing this summer.
The Reds look like they could do with a new, more creative presence in their engine room but there is a feeling more is to come from Jones.
The report also says that Harvey Elliott, whose 2021/22 was cut short by a serious injury, might also provide that next season.
Liverpool have huge faith in Curtis Jones
Liverpool will not consider any offers to release Jones, and they have no plans to give up on him anytime soon.
According to the report, the FA Cup champions turned down an ambitious loan proposal from Leeds United before the start of the previous campaign.
Aston Villa has also expressed interest, but Liverpool are not willing to negotiate a deal for Jones because they think he is capable of moving on to the next level.
The elephant in the room is Jude Bellingham, who looks set to be the man Liverpool want to add to their midfield.
It looks like that would need to wait until next year Given Borussia Dortmund only tend to sell one starlet per summer and they have already offloaded Erling Haaland this summer.
However, Klopp has called Jones “special,” and it appears he will have at least another season to prove that claim and nail a starting position before a new midfield signing is made.
