Serie A giants, Inter Milan, are reportedly considering approaching Arsenal with a lucrative offer to replace their defensive mainstay Gabriel Magalhaes. The Brazilian has already caught the attention of the Nerazzurri, who are willing to put the Gunners to the test in their pursuit of the Brazilian centre-back.
After four years at the San Siro, Calciomercatoweb stated that the Italian club is ready to split ways with experienced centre-back Stefan de Vrij. In a player-plus-cash deal for Arsenal’s Gabriel, they intend to use the Dutch defender as a makeweight.
The Brazilian has been a key player for Mikel Arteta since joining Arsenal from Lille in 2020. In the 2021-22 season, he only missed three Premier League games due to injury.
Inter Milan is not the first Serie A team to show interest in the 24-year-old centre-back, according to the Italian newspaper. Juventus is also considering a bid for him.
Gabriel’s market value is €38 million, while De Vrij is valued at €28 million. The Arsenal defender, on the other hand, is a left-footed centre-back who complements right-footed Ben White admirably in the middle of the defense.
If another right-footed player, such as the Dutch defender, were to join Arteta’s team, the balance would be upset. With five goals in the Premier League last season, the 24-year-old centre-back was also the Gunners’ top scorer. Arsenal would not want to be without such a set-piece danger.
As a result, it appears like Inter will have a difficult time closing this deal. Calciomercatoweb also said that the Nerazzurri’s interest in Gabriel may be viewed as a backup option.

In terms of a center-back, the Italians have already defined their preferences. Gleison Bremer of Torino is their priority target, and De Vrij could be part of that deal as well.
Arsenal could secure the signing of in-demand winger linked with Barcelona
The Gunners astonished everyone when they agreed to sign offensive midfielder Fabio Vieira from FC Porto a few days ago (via Fabrizio Romano). They could build on it by bringing in a high-profile signing.
Raphinha, a Leeds United forward who has been linked with a move to Barcelona for months, is apparently closing in on a move to the Emirates.
The Brazilian is said to be tired of waiting for the Catalans and is willing to join Arsenal. Leeds United’s reported value of £50 million, according to GOAL, was too much for the Spanish side to pay. Mikel Arteta’s side, on the other hand, have done their part in approaching Leeds and reaching an agreement on the player’s transfer.
According to GOAL, Raphinha will be a Gunners player by the end of the week if everything goes according to plan.
