Liverpool and Arsenal are reportedly after the signature of Villarreal winger, Yeremy Pino.
Numerous claims have been made about the Reds registering their interest in the Spanish international or even making a bid. However, supporters on Twitter are quite sceptical about the Reds’ pursuit of the player:
Pino has an €80 million (£68 million) release clause, so even though Villarreal may be willing to sell the teenager for less, he would still cost a lot of money.
Given that he is a right-footed winger, he is not exactly someone that Liverpool need, especially with the likes of Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota who are already part of the squad.
Pino has been mentioned as a potential long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, although the club’s recruitment staff would presumably prefer a forward with more strength on his left-side.
The 19-year-old does currently appear more likely to receive a formal offer from Arsenal, so the chances of him moving to Anfield is looking very slim.
