According to Fabrizio Romano, Wolves are about to sign Liverpool target, Matheus Nunes from Sporting Lisbon.

The Italian journalist claims that the midfielder has “accepted” the Midlands club’s offer, and is now close to finalizing a €50 million (£42 million) transfer to the Premier League:

Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City have all been linked with Nunes in recent months, but the fact that Wolves was able to sign the player implies that interest from the “Big Six” teams wasn’t as intense as first believed.

Reds supporters, though, who are clamoring for the team to sign a midfielder before the transfer window ends, will be frustrated over missing out on the 23-year-old.

The majority of journalists claim that Jurgen Klopp’s side still wants to wait until next summer to improve their options in the center of the field, with Jude Bellingham of Borussia Dortmund being the top target.
