Following his Manchester City unvieling, Erling Haaland was asked if Jude Bellingham, a target for Liverpool, would follow him to England.
Before joining Manchester City, Erling Haaland said he spoke to Jude Bellingham, a former teammate at Borussia Dortmund, “a lot” about England.
It is also reported that Bellingham has been strongly considering a move to Liverpool and that the powers at Anfield are huge admirers of the England international. The Reds, however, don’t think there will be any room for negotiating with Dortmund this summer given that the Bundesliga club is said to have set a £103 million price tag on its prized asset.
With his alternatives for the midfield heading into the next season, Jurgen Klopp is likewise happy. But there is a chance that the Liverpool manager will be interested if Bellingham comes on the market next summer.
The fact that Dortmund lost their other star player, Erling Haaland, to the Premier League champions has not helped the Reds’ chances of signing the 19-year-old.
When asked about his relationship with Bellingham upon his unveiling for Man City, Haaland replied, “Yes, he was my best mate. He was a good guy.
We had a lengthy discussion about it (staying), and at the end, we discussed England as a whole. He is really happy for me.
Then, a reporter asked as to whether Haaland thinks Bellingham would continue playing football in England next summer. “Good question,” the Norway international responded with a smile. We’ll have to wait and see.
