After Mohamed Salah renewed his contract with Liverpool, Gary Neville sent a tweet about the forward.
Salah signed a new contract to extend his stay at Anfield on Friday after months of feverish rumors. His contract has now been extended to 2025 from when it was originally due to expire last summer.
Salah’s contract extension was officially announced, and shortly after, Jamie Carragher tweeted at Neville. The tweet included a video from 2019 in which Neville made the predictions that Salah would quit the team and that Manchester United will win the Premier League before Liverpool.
And Salah is leaving Liverpool the coming year, I can already see it, Neville said in August 2019 on the Sky Sports The Debate program.
Carragher knows, but he won’t admit it.
Salah will leave, he will, I can see it, feel it, smell it, and you know when a player’s like that. I can assure you of that.
Neville has since tweeted about Salah’s news, speculating that the forward may have gotten a better deal than Liverpool. Salah has played them, hasn’t he? the Sky Sports pundit wrote, followed by two winking faces and two laughing faces.
The forward is expected to make over £350k a week, which would be a huge increase above the stated £200k a week salary of his present contract and make him the highest-paid player in the history of the team.
According to the 30-year-old’s new contract, which is highly incentive-driven so that he might earn more depending on player performance, he will indeed make less than £400k per week.
