Arsenal’s season is coming to an end. Four wins in their next four games would secure a place in the Champions League for next season, the first time the team has qualified for the elite competition since the 2015/16 season.
While qualifying isn’t going to be easy, especially with the North London Derby coming up next Thursday (May 12), they’ll have plenty to look forward to in 2022/23 if they succeed. Meanwhile, youngsters can start becoming thrilled about wearing their new kits.
It’s because it’s that time of year when fans get enthusiastic about their team’s new uniforms. Despite the lack of official confirmation from the Gunners, it appears that Arsenal’s new home kit has been leaked online.
With that in mind, Sports Deputy takes a look at everything said so far about the three new shirts.
Home kit due to drop on May 19
According to fan group Red Action Gooners, four significant talking points were raised at Arsenal’s last fan forum at Highbury House with Josh Kroenke and Vinai Venkatesham. One of the topics discussed was the new Arsenal uniforms, which are expected to be released on May 19 – suggesting that Arsenal might wear them against Everton on the final day of the season.
Third kit leaked
The Adidas Arsenal 2022-2023 third football shirt is predominantly light pink, as shown on FootyHeadlines. It’s the first-ever pink shirt in the North London club’s history. On the front, a pattern of so-called ermines, which are frequently seen in coats of arms, for example, may be observed. It’s based on the old Arsenal badge in this example.
Away kit leaked
Arsenal is expected to wear a black and gold away kit next season, according to FootyHeadlines. The Adidas Arsenal 22-23 away jersey is black with gold-metallic emblems and grey shoulder stripes. There’s also a subtle abstract geometric print on the front and sleeves.
Xhaka accidentally reveals home strip
Granit Xhaka was spotted wearing the Gunners’ new home kit at the end of last month. The Swiss international paid a visit to Islington’s ‘Chip Inn Fish Bar,’ a place where Aaron Ramsdale previously dined, and some keen Arsenal fans saw the 29-year-old wearing a red shirt with a collar that resembles leaked images of the club’s alleged new kit.
