Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, is still an Arsenal target, but now their focus at the moment is on trying to close the deals for both Raphinha and Gabriel Jesus.
Although the Gunners have a long-standing interest in Tielemans, it appears that they are aware of the need to move quickly and diligently in order to sign Brazilian duo Jesus and Raphinha, who would unquestionably be excellent additions.
This is according to Fabrizio Romano, which will be published in full later today and contain additional information on other clubs that are coming in for Tielemans.
Arsenal has been in touch with the player’s camp and Leicester for a while, but Romano says that no formal offers have been made so far.
The club is prioritizing Gabriel Jesus and competing for Raphinha, so although talks are still ongoing, they are not at a critical level yet.
Arsenal may need some midfield reinforcements, but given Nicolas Pepe’s recent struggles and the exits of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in recent months, it may make sense that the attack should take precedence.
Although Mikel Arteta’s team is more severely depleted up front, Tielemans might possibly be a significant addition as a step up on Granit Xhaka.
