Premier League star wanted by Arsenal, according to Romano — Arsenal headlines of the day: Vieira delivers message — Gunners close in on £25 million man.
Barcelona has been warned that Arsenal is interested in signing Raphinha of Leeds United this transfer window.
The Brazil international is expected to be one of the most in-demand players in world football this summer, when his contract expires after only two years, and he is being pursued by a number of clubs.
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, is a huge fan of the player, and there was even rumours in the media that the Gunners were considering a move during the January window, but ultimately decided against it.
The Brazil winger appears to be on his way out of Elland Road this summer, with numerous stories in the media claiming that Barcelona is keen to sign him – but they are yet to make a move.
But, amid all of the rumours, transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano has spoken out, warning the Spanish giants that they must act quickly to get the forward’s signature, as Arsenal has re-entered the race for his services.
“Raphinha deal,” he said. Barcelona and his agent Deco have been in full agreement on a five-year contract since February, but Leeds want €55 million and have no plans to lower their asking price.
“Barça must act quickly since Premier League clubs, notably Arsenal, have re-entered the contest — but no proposal has been submitted yet”.

If the rumours are accurate, and Arsenal has entered the competition to sign Raphinha, they will have to offer something unique to beat out the other clubs interested in the Brazilian star.
They are one of the most powerful teams in the world, but they do not compete in the Champions League, which Raphinha desires, and they do not compete for the most prestigious titles, which Raphinha desires.
So, if they want to sign the Brazilian and avoid losing out to Barcelona, they must hope that the Spaniards do not make a bid very soon.
Arsenal close in on Tielemans –
Arsenal are reportedly not closing in signing Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans this summer.
The Gunners have been busy in recent months, having previously signed Matt Turner, Marquinhos, and Fabio Vieira, who will arrive from Porto on a £30 million deal.
However, it is thought that Mikel Arteta will continue to search for individuals who can make a significant contribution to the team – and it has now been reported that Arsenal will speed up their efforts to complete a transfer deal for Tielemans.
Arsenal has liked Tielemans for a long time, but has never been willing to pay the high fees that would have been required to buy him last summer or the summer before.
However, with one year left on his current contract, he is only worth £25 million, which the Arsenal board is willing to pay.
And now, according to IcFootballnews, Arsenal has started advanced conversations with Tielemans’ agents about a move to the Emirates, knowing that he wants to play for a large club.
They are reported to be willing to offer him the £150,000-a-week salaries that he craves, and have already agreed on a deal with Leicester – and now that Vieira has signed his contract, he will be the next player to join the club.

Arsenal has been busy, and they have spent some money, but if they are able to negotiate a transfer for Tielemans, they will be buying a player who is more than capable of going into the team and making an immediate impact.
He is not a young talent; he is a full international who has shown himself in the Premier League and is a player who is being pursued by a number of clubs around Europe.
Should they be able to complete a deal, he would be the club’s best signing to date.
Vieira promise –
Arsenal fans have been told that Fabio Vieira would work hard to prove himself at the Emirates and in the Premier League.
Arsenal has stepped up their efforts to clinch their second major transfer window deal, persuading Porto to allow Vieira leave the club in the last few days.
Vieira, who has mostly played as an attacking midfielder or second striker for Porto, scored six goals and added 14 assists in the Primeira Liga last season, and is a player the Gunners have been monitoring.
Vieira will sign a five-year contract with the Premier League giants for roughly £30 million, and he has promised fans that he will work hard since he understands how difficult the Premier League is.
“I was always satisfied at Porto,” the midfielder added, “but this possibility is vital for any professional.”
“Playing in the Premier League will be difficult, and all I can promise is that I will work, work, work.”
“My agent negotiated the deal between the two teams, and I accepted it because it was beneficial to all parties involved.” I’ve always followed the Premier League on television.”

Another transfer window – but the same old Arsenal
Fans hoped that only a few established players would move to London, rather than a slew of young players with bright futures in the game.
Vieira still has a few years before he can truly be considered a decent player, but he won’t have much of an impact in that team next season.
Arsenal fans are having a hard time getting enthused about a guy who hasn’t done much in the game to convince us that he’s worth so much money.
